Paper is patient, and the reality is not, what is printed on the paper
of this guide. The reality is quite a sinister and opposite and
ambiguous violation of everything that was once intended good, and
that has resulted in a church of evil, where a few pre-appointed
selected few run the show behind the back of their incumbent most of
the time, unless he is part of the game of heresy and organised
criminality, too. And the sad thing is, there is nobody left, to whom
a victim of abuse or crime can turn to in the Church of England or,
for that matter, in the Roman Catholic Church, as the majority of
leaders is publicly boasting that 'they can get away with heresy,
blasphemy and murder'.

'Churchwardens hold the title to the movable goods of the church, must
keep an inventory of those goods & keep it up to date&must hand over
those goods to their successors, who must check the inventory.' (E1.5)

Does that include donated goods that the churchwardens take home
without entering them in the inventory and possibly resell them and
afterwards boasting about it?

Churchwardens must be the foremost in representing the
laity&co-operating with the incumbent.

Once upon a time there were churchwardens, of whom each said: 'I don't
care, what the priest wants or thinks', and one said: 'I put a kitchen
table on St Chad's plaque as an altar, I don't care.' Another brought
a paedophile to the parish and encouraged him to attend events with
children and to give gifts to them and even made sure he became verger
against the priest's wishes.

Churchwardens must maintain order&decency in the church&churchyard
especially during the time of divine service. (E1.4)

Does that include swearing at people in the churchyard and slandering
them or threatening them? And having to call them to order during the
Divine service, during which they exchange loudly recipes and insults.

IV. Time and Manner of Choosing Churchwardens

A. Churchwardens are chosen annually by a meeting of the parishioners.

41. The churchwardens are chosen by election by a meeting of the
parishioners (subject to paragraphs 534-57) (CMs.4(2)).

All churchwardens I know boasted that they had a nice meeting with the
bishop beforehand and if they had children, their children were
automatically entered into private or privileged CoE and
Oxford/Cambridge or even international private university education.

42. Under s.5 of the Measure, a meeting of the parishioners is a joint
meeting of:


(a) those whose names are on the church electoral roll of the parish; and

(b) those who are resident in the parish and have their names on the
register of local government electors. (CM s.5(1)). This category is
not confined to members of the Church of England or to lay persons. It
includes clergy resident in the parish and people of any faith or
none. The whole community has a right to participate in the election;
this is one aspect of the position of the Church of England as the
Established Church, as well as survival from the time when
churchwardens had important secular functions in the parish.

43. The meeting of the parishioners must be held annually before 30th
April to choose the churchwardens (CM s.4(1)....


44. The meeting must be convened by the minister (or, if there is no
minister or the minister is unable or unwilling to convene the
meeting, by the churchwardens) (CM s.5(2);

(a) signed by the minister (or by a churchwarden if the meeting is
convened by the churchwardens) 9CM s.5(2);

(b) stating the date, time and place the meeting (CM s.593); and

(c) fixed on or near to the principal door of the parish church, and
of every other building licensed for public worship in the parish, for
a period including the last two Sundays before the meeting (CM s.5(4).
It is recommended that the notice is displayed well in advance and in
a place which not only complies with the legal requirements but also
enables non-churchgoers to see it without difficulty.
